It is getting closer, the holidays are almost upon us and with that the new year and then while no one is paying attention February 17th will be here and with that the end of analog television. That means for anyone that has not been paying attention if you have not done anything to prepare so your television is receiving a digital television signal like what is transmitted with a satellite TV provider you will be out of luck. When that day comes along anyone that turns on their television expecting an analog signal to bring them the programs they are used to watching they will see nothing.
There will not be not be programs, there will not be any voice, there will not even be any snow and this is because all of the television stations are changing to transmit in a digital television signal and analog will be a thing of the past. This means that the days of plugging in the television and seeing programming is over unless you have a converter box or a television with a digital tuner.
This is the reason that many people have switched to satellite television, it is affordable and it also brings in many channels so there is always something interesting to watch besides infomercials. One of the reasons for this is they feel if they are being forced to change the way television is broadcast into their home how long might it be before they are charged to watch their local programming. Rather than wait for this they have decided that if they have to make a switch then they want more channels to choose from.
What they will get with satellite television is the option of watching many different channels and still has their local channels available; they will also have movie channels that they can choose from and educational channels. They will have sports channels with games they would not have seen on the local channels and children programming at any hour of the day.
This is the advantage of the digital age and what this means is programming that is transmitted in a digital signal, which makes it clear and the voice is transmitted at the same time. This means never again will there be a program with the lips that do not match the voice and the picture is always clear.
February is sneaking up quickly and bringing the end of analog transmission with its snow and voice that does not always match the actor’s lips and we are moving into the age of the digital television programming transmission. Having satellite television the digital age is already here, because their programs are transmitted now in a digital signal to ensure that ever program is clear for viewers. It also means that satellite TV subscribers have nothing to worry about in February they are ready for the change and when they turn on their television they will see the same programming they choose to see every other day of the year.
